Entry into medium format - Fujifilm GFX 50s II
Fujifilm has long been known and loved for their digital medium format cameras with their GFX line. With the GFX 100s, the successor to the GFX 100 with a smaller body, many new features and a lower price, Fujifilm has once again set a milestone in the medium format segment. Now comes the successor to its little brother, the GFX 50s - the GFX 50s Mark II.
With an unbeatable price, getting into medium format becomes even more within reach for many photographers. Find out what's new here and whether the new GF 35-70 f/4.5-5.6 WR kit lens can be used in our video!
More than full-frame
The three most important aspects of the new GFX 50s II - compact, affordable, weatherproof.
Fujifilm is targeting its new entry-level medium format camera mainly at landscape photographers, as well as the portrait and snapshot segments. Even though the 51.4 MP sensor is already known from the GFX 50s Mark I, it is now further improved by the new X-Processor 4. Besides the new processor comes an improved contrast AF, improved lowlight behavior and dynamic range.
In addition, as with its big brother (the GFX 100S), an integrated image stabilizer (IBIS) is now also installed here. Thus, it is also possible to take pictures with up to 205 MP via Pixel Shift.
