Damit Vielfalt nicht zu Unüberschaubarkeit führt: Die Zusammenstellung optimiert die Auswahlmöglichkeiten von Wechselobjektiven nach Anschluss und erlaubt eine bequeme und schnelle Handreichung, welche Linsen der unterschiedlichen Hersteller für die gewünschten Zwecke zur Verfügung stehen. Wer sich für ein Canon Gehäuse entscheidet, kann zwischen Linsen für die Canon Systemkameras (EF-M) wählen – zwischen Fischauge, Zoom und Weitwinkel von Canon und Samyang –, den vollformattauglichen Objektiven für Canon Vollformat-SLR-Kameras (EF), speziell auf die EOS SLR-Kameras zugeschnitten, mit einem breiten Spektrum von Makro bis Superweitwinkel, die als das non-plus-ultra geltenden Objektive der L-Serie sowie Linsen, die Videofunktionen erlauben. Vielfalt herrscht auch bei den Linsen für die digitale Canon EOS Spiegelreflexkameras mit APS-C-Sensor, handlicheren Kameras mit kleineren Sensoren, mit deren EF-S-Bajonett sowohl EF- wie auch EF-S-Objektiv einsetzbar sind. Die Auswahl qualitativ kaum zu übertreffenden Linsen von Zeiss bis hin zu Linsen für den kleineren Geldbeutel von Walimex oder Tokina. Begeisterung entsteht auch bei Nikon: Der Fotoliebhaber wählt sowohl zwischen Linsen für die Vollformat-SLR-Kameras (FX), für SLR-Kameras (DX) sowie für die Systemkameras (CX). Hier sorgt der Bajonettadapter für Kompatibilität. Bei Sony sind die Linsen kompatibel mit den Bajonettverschlüssen für E-Mount, FE-Mount (steht für Full Frame E-Mount), A-Mount sowie die A-Mount Vollformatkamera. Denn die Wahl des Objektivs ist essentiell für die richtige Fokussierung und die Bildqualität. Objektive mit MFT-Bajonett, ein von Olympus (Pen oder OM-D) und Panasonic (Lumix) entwickelter Standard, sind für eine ganze Reihe von spiegellosen Systemkameras einsetzbar. Die Micro-Four-Thirds-Bajonett-Anschlüsse lassen eine große Vielfalt an Linsen zu, variable Brennweite (Makro bis Tele) ebenso wie Festbrennweite, Weitwinkel oder Makro. Sigma bietet Festbrennweiten, Standard- und für Vollformat und für SLR-Gehäusen mit APS-C Format. Für Fujifilm geeignet sind die Linsen für die X-Serie, die an digitale Kameras von Fujifilm passen, sowie an Fuji Mittelformat (Standard, Standardzoom und Tele). Pentax bietet ebenfalls eine breite Palette an Linsen mit dem Pentax K-Anschluss sowie Linsen mit dem Pentax K-Vollformat-Anschluss, die auch an Vollformat-SLR-Gehäuse passen, zudem vollformattauglichen Objektive (Pentax K Vollformat), dann die an digitale Pentax Spiegelreflexkameras passenden, egal ob diese einen Vollformat- oder einen APS-C-Sensor besitzen. Zudem die für digitale Pentax Q Systemkameras und für Pentax Mittelformat. Wer sich in der Spitzenklasse von Leica oder Hasselblad bewegt, der ist im Oberklassefeld der Leica-Objektive mit ihrer hervorragenden Bearbeitungsqualität und Haptik bestens bedient, findet er doch herausragendes Linsenzubehör für die verschiedenen Gehäuse: So unter anderem das lichtstarke Porträtobjektiv Nuctilux von oder ein Primoplan von Meyer-Optik Görlitz, weitere Linsen von Voigtländer oder Zeiss für die Leica M, Elmar (Tele und Zoom), Summicron (Porträt), Summarit (Makro) Elmar (Tele) für Leica S, Leica SL (Elmarit für Vollformat und SL) und mit den verschiedenen Linsen Weitwinkel- und Telezooms Elmar, den Brennweitenklassikern Summicron und Summilux oder dem Makro Elmarit für Leica T/TL, muss dafür aber wie bei allen Leica-Linsen tief in die Tasche greifen. Preislich gilt dies noch mehr für die verschiedenen sowohl für Hasselblad X wie für H verwendbaren Linsen, darunter perfektes Standard- und Reiseobjektiv oder ein Retrofokus für kreative Fotografie, für besonders schlechte Lichtverhältnisse wie auch für Actionfotografie – alle Objektive gehören zur absoluten Spitzenklasse.
