Trotz der fortschreitenden Digitalisierung gibt es zahlreiche Fotografen, Amateure wie Profis, die den Umstieg von der analogen auf die digitale Fotografie nicht vornehmen oder die Diawelt wiederentdecken. Das Fotografieren mit Diafilmen ist nach wie vor beliebt. Rahmen aus Kunststoff oder aus Metall zum Beispiel der Marken Gepe, Hama oder Braun schließen die Diapositive ein. Manche der Diarahmen sind glaslos, andere mit Glas versehen. Besonders zu empfehlen sind solche, die Diapositive hinter sogenanntem Anti-Newton-Glas einrahmen. Das auf der Innenseite angeätzte Glas verhindert das Auftreten von Interferenzerscheinungen zwischen planen Flächen. Diese Art der Rahmung birgt zusätzlich den Vorteil, dass die exakte Lage des Diapositivs gewährleistet und es hinter Glas entsprechend vor Beschädigungen durch äußere Einflüsse geschützt wird. Dank der praktischen Magazine können die Dias in eine gewählte Ordnung gebracht und platzsparend aufbewahrt werden. Darüber hinaus gibt es verschiedene Systeme und zusätzliches Equipment wie Umfüllmagazine, Journalboxen oder Magazinkoffer, um die perfekte Ausrüstung für die analoge Fotografie zu vervollständigen.
