The RODE VideoMic Pro is an ultra-compact directional condenser microphone for flash shoe mounting that enables videographers to record original sound in professional broadcast quality with high speech intelligibility.
At just 15 cm long and weighing just under 90 g, the VideoMic Pro is the perfect partner for SLR digital cameras with HD video function, but of course also for normal DV camcorders of all kinds. The cleverly and inconspicuously integrated elastic holder ensures effective decoupling of the microphone from handling noise and the like. If required, a low-cut filter can be switched on at the rear to suppress additional low-frequency interference signals. The connection to the camera is made via a 3.5 mm stereo jack plug.
The output level of the VideoMic Pro can be reduced by 10 dB or increased by 20 dB using a switch to adapt it to the respective signal source and the camera's microphone input - ideal for extremely loud or quiet signals. An operating switch with battery indicator LED completes the features. With a fresh alkaline 9V block battery, you can work successfully for more than 70 hours.
As a mono shotgun microphone, the VideoMic Pro is particularly suitable for all types of reportage where it is less about capturing stereo atmospheres or music (for which the RODE SVM would be better suited), but where a precise sound recording with a narrow angle to the front and corresponding to the image section is always required. Typical examples of this would be interviews or videos in which speech is predominantly recorded as original sound, which is then always output in the middle of the stereo panorama when played back via the home system.
Incidentally, a 3/8" tripod thread is embedded in the hot shoe adapter so that the VideoMic Pro can also be operated away from the camera if required - e.g. mounted on a pistol grip, a tripod or a boom pole.

These terms of use apply to the participation in and use of the customer ratings of Hifi Foto Koch GmbH. In the event of conflicts with the general terms and conditions or data protection regulations, these terms of use shall take precedence.

- You are the sole author of the content and own all copyrights
- You accept the guidelines for ratings and community media and you are at least 14 years old
- Your information is neither false, misleading nor inaccurate
- You do not infringe any copyright, trademark, patent or publication rights
- You do not violate any data protection rights, personal rights of third parties or any other rights or laws

You provide your content free of charge and are not entitled to any form of remuneration or compensation. There is no entitlement to publication.
Submitted customer opinions and uploaded media are usually reviewed and published within a few working days. All transferable rights of use of the content provided by you are transferred to Hifi Foto Koch GmbH and its current or future partners and representatives (including but not limited to affiliated companies, service providers, search engines, employees, agencies, branches, joint ventures, suppliers). The content may be used, modified and published by the aforementioned parties at their own discretion without any restrictions in terms of time, content and location. Promotional use is also permitted. The content may be edited or deleted if it violates the guidelines for ratings and community media as well as these terms of use or if it makes sense for the respective purpose. It is also possible to shorten the content at any time and without giving reasons.
Hifi Foto Koch GmbH and its current or future partners and agents do not warrant the ability to modify or delete the content you submit, should you wish to do so.
You transfer the rights and licence of your content to Hifi Foto Koch GmbH and its current or future partners and representatives. You grant Hifi Foto Koch GmbH and its current or future partners and representatives, the unrestricted right to your customer opinion (rating text, nickname, star rating, recommendation, etc.) as well as to your media (e.g. images, videos, audio files, texts, documents, etc.; incl. the indication of the author, description, etc.) to use, change, store, delete, shorten, modify, adapt, translate, copy, pass on, sell and distribute worldwide in any form, any medium, in any technology. Personal data (e-mail address, address, contact details) will not be passed on to third parties.
You assume full responsibility for your content. You agree to indemnify Hifi Foto Koch GmbH and its current or future affiliates and agents for all costs, including attorneys' fees, any damages, consequential damages of any kind, claims and demands arising from your failure to comply with the Review and Community Media Guidelines and these Terms of Use.
