The Tokina opera 50mm F1.4 FF is the first fixed focal length in the premium "opera" lens series for top-of-the-range full-frame DSLR cameras from Canon (EF) and Nikon (F). With the debut of the opera 50mm F1.4 FF, Tokina is launching a new series of next-generation full-frame lenses for high-resolution, high-end DSLR cameras. The 50mm Lens is a new technological development from Tokina and has been optimized in all areas of optical and electronic design for the current full-frame DSLR cameras from Nikon and Canon. The opera uses a ring-shaped ultrasonic motor in the autofocus drive module and a newly developed Tokina ELR coating. The Lens is effectively sealed to prevent dust and moisture from entering the Body. The optical construction of the Tokina opera 5omm F1.4 FF consists of three SD (Super-Low Dispersion) lens elements and an aspherical glass element in the back-focusing lens group to effectively suppress aberrations and ensure optimum sharpness across the entire image. To ensure fast and accurate AF, the Tokina opera 5omm F1.4 FF has a powerful, ring-shaped ultrasonic motor for virtually silent operation. A variety of shots that once seemed impossible can now be realized with this Lens.
