LEICA DG SUMMILUX 9mm F1.7
35 mm equivalent: 18 mm a fast ultra-wide-angle fixed focal length lens for the LUMIX G series. In addition to its high speed with very compact dimensions, the MicroFourThirds Lens also features an extremely short minimum focus distance of just 9.5 cm and an outstanding magnification factor of 0.25x (35 mm camera equivalent: 0.5x). The combination of these features makes it possible to highlight a subject against an expansive background. The Lens also features high imaging performance and smooth, beautiful bokeh in both stills and video. This makes the new Lens the perfect choice for landscapes, architecture, street photography and weddings.

Naturally, it meets LEICA's stringent quality standards, making it suitable for demanding amateurs as well as professionals in both photo and video.

High-quality lens design for outstanding image quality
The new LEICA H-X09 Lens consists of twelve lens elements in nine groups, including two aspherical lenses, two ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) lenses and one UHR (Ultra High Refractive Index) lens that suppresses chromatic aberration. Thanks to the aspherical lenses, aberrations such as astigmatism can also be corrected and high resolution performance can be achieved. In addition, the UHR (Ultra High Refractive Index) lens ensures consistent image quality from the center of the frame to the edges, while enabling
a smaller and more compact lens unit.

Also the first choice for video shooting
The LEICA DG SUMMILUX 9mm F1.7 Lens works silently with the camera's fast, high-precision contrast AF system up to a maximum frame rate of 240 frames. For additional intuitive and precise focusing, the manual focus can be set in linear or non-linear mode.

In non-linear mode, the focus is shifted by a variable amount according to the rotation speed of the focus ring, while in linear mode, the focus is always shifted linearly according to the rotation angle of the focus ring. The entire focus range can be shifted in 90 to 360 degrees in the linear setting2 to enable targeted focusing. The new Lens also excels in video recording by suppressing so-called "focus breathing" - a typical problem of interchangeable lenses designed primarily for still photography.

Highest mobility and always ready for use
With its compact size and low weight of approx. 130g, the LEICA H-X09 represents the amazing mobility of the Micro Four Thirds system. The robust, dust- and splashproof* Design withstands use in harsh conditions even at minus 10 degrees Celsius and ensures maximum reliability.
