Wildlife observation

The use of scouting cams is clearly defined. A wildlife camera is often used when owners of forest land, leaseholders of hunting grounds or foresters want to find out more about the wildlife population and activities in their forest area. Thanks to so-called "photo traps", it is possible to observe wild animals such as foxes, deer or wild boar unnoticed and to monitor the wildlife population day and night.

High-quality images in the wild
As a manufacturer of photography products, Braun Photo Technik is expanding its extensive product range of currently 4 wildlife cameras with the Scouting Cam Black800 WiFi. As the name suggests, the wildlife camera is equipped with WiFi. A free app can be used to connect the smartphone to the camera and access the camera. This is a P2P connection within the range of the camera. The camera cannot be integrated into the network. This means that all recordings can be viewed and settings can be conveniently changed without having to disconnect the camera. You can also view a live image in the app to check the alignment. A remote control for activating the WiFi function is also included.
The Scouting Cam Black800 WiFi has a high-quality 8 megapixel CMOS image sensor and a PIR motion sensor with a detection radius of 120° and three sensitivity settings. For night shots, the wildlife camera has 34 black IR LEDs, which enable a trigger and night distance of 20 meters. The triggering time is just 0.6 seconds, while the triggering interval can be set between five seconds and 60 minutes.
The compact and waterproof camera housing (95x137.5x64mm) complies with protection class IP66. The 488 gram Braun Scouting Cam Black800 WiFi has a 2.0'' color display for image control of the recordings, which are stored on an SD card (up to 32GB, JPG and MP4 format). The 8 MP CMOS image sensor ensures excellent color images. The wildlife camera also delivers videos with a length of up to three minutes and a resolution of up to 1296p at 30 fps. Even useful time-lapse recordings (video or photo/5 sec. to 60 min.) are possible with the Scouting Cam. The standby time is around six months. The operating temperatures range from -20 degrees to +60 degrees. The Braun Scouting Cam Black800 WiFi also has an integrated microphone, a loudspeaker, password protection and displays the date, time, moon phase and temperature. It is powered by eight AA batteries. The scope of delivery also includes a tree mount and a fastening strap to attach the camera to a tree. Alternatively, it can also be placed independently on a tripod.
